And so onto the final leg… Johannesburg… at the Indaba Hotel once again. Glad to say the roadworks have improved marginally!!
We may not have had a change of venue, but we did have a change of Economist – Wayne McCurrie from Momentum was our guest speaker and he gave a very enlightening presentation on the Global and South African economies with particular reference to the price of oil and its impact .
As in Cape Town, the trip around the five rooms involved a bit of stair climbing, but I am glad to report that no paramedics had to be called.
After a good day of business, it was then time to “chill” with a few drinks, superb dinner and entertainment provided by Cathy Del Mei and Andy Klee.
Just as everyone was nice and relaxed, Duane Rockwell, our resident MC, called Mark and Sean up to the stage and you could immediately feel a change in the atmosphere… the excitement was building. After handing out the dealer awards it was time for the last name to be added for the trip to Croatia. We had 10 finalists….

The format was the same as Durban & Cape Town and after each person had chosen an envelope they opened them one by one. First one was opened – the prize ….a bottle of wine, second one… was this it…. no… another bottle of wine.. and so Mark went down the line until only two people remained…. and yes you guessed it….the last envelope opened won the prize of a sailing trip for two to beautiful Croatia. So who won..
